In a sharp political address during the Assam election campaign, Rahul Gandhi launched a strong attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. Gandhi accused the ruling leadership of exploiting Assam’s land and resources, alleging that large portions of land have been handed over to corporate groups like Mukesh Ambani, Gautam Adani, and Baba Ramdev. He described Assam as a culturally diverse state built on unity and harmony, claiming that this strength is being undermined by political and corporate interests. Gandhi also alleged corruption and misuse of power, calling the state government an “ATM” for big businesses. Additionally, he referenced remarks linked to Donald Trump and controversial international issues, aiming to question Modi’s global standing.
