‘Complete annihilation of Microsoft, Nvidia … ‘: Iran warns US after Trump’s strike threats

'Complete annihilation of Microsoft, Nvidia … ': Iran warns US after Trump threatens to strike bridges, power plants

.

A day after reportedly hitting an Amazon facility in Bahrain, Iran on Friday warned that all ICT companies in the region remiained a target”Should the US proceed with its threats concerning Iran’s power plant facilities, the following retaliatory measures shall be promptly enacted. All power plants, energy infrastructure, and information and communication technology of the Zionist regime, and all similar companies in the region that have American shareholders, shall face complete and utter annihilation,” Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya HQ spokesman warned in a video message. The video also displayed the text: “Nothing is hidden from our sight, though hidden by Google.” It then pointed to the location of Stargate in the UAE, described as an AI computing cluster, and showed a photo of American CEOs of the project’s major partner firms, including Nvidia, OpenAI, Microsoft and Goldman Sachs. A report by the Financial Times said Thursday that Amazon’s cloud operations in Bahrain were damaged following an Iranian strike. According to it, Bahrain’s interior ministry said civil defence teams were “extinguishing a fire in a facility of a company as a result of the Iranian aggression.”The development follows earlier threats by Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, which had warned of targeting US companies operating in the Middle East, including Microsoft, Apple, Google and Meta. The warning, similar to one issued in March, was directed at 18 US firms, including technology and finance companies. In a message posted on Telegram, the IRGC had accused these companies of acting as spies for the US government and helping it carry out strikes. It said, “since the main element in designing and tracking terror targets are American ICT and AI companies… from now on the main institutions effective in terrorist operations will be our legitimate targets.”Last month, Amazon had confirmed that its cloud arm, Amazon Web Services (AWS), had faced disruption in Bahrain due to the conflict.
