‘We Won’t Be Driven Back’: Iran Hits Back At Donald Trump’s ‘Stone Age’ Threat

Iran has issued a sharp rebuke to the United States and Israel, declaring it “will not be driven back to the Stone Age” and asserting its civilisational strength in a strongly worded message posted by its mission in India. The statement, laced with accusations of civilian killings and crimes against humanity, signals a further escalation in rhetoric as tensions intensify in West Asia, with Tehran positioning itself as both resilient and defiant in the face of ongoing hostilities and mounting global scrutiny.

Won’t Be Driven Back

In the social media post, Iran said it is a nation with 7,000 years of civilisation and cannot be pushed into submission through military strikes. It accused its adversaries of carrying forward violence against civilians into the modern era, framing the conflict in moral and historical terms.

The message underscores Tehran’s attempt to counter narratives emerging from recent military developments while reinforcing its image as a longstanding and resilient state.

Military Warning Follows

The statement comes alongside a hardening military stance. IRGC spokesperson Ebrahim Zolfaghari warned that US and Israeli intelligence on Iran’s military strength is “incomplete”.

He said adversaries are unaware of Iran’s vast strategic capabilities and dismissed reported strikes as largely insignificant. According to him, the sites targeted hold little importance, while key military production facilities remain far beyond reach.

The combined messaging highlights Iran’s dual approach-projecting defiance through diplomatic channels while signalling deterrence through military assertions—as tensions in West Asia continue to escalate.
