Exports surged 42.7 per cent to 47,040 units, up from 32,968 units in March last year, continuing to play a key role in driving overall growth.Maruti Suzuki India on Wednesday reported a 10.6 per cent year-on-year increase in domestic sales in March 2026, with dispatches of passenger vehicles and light commercial vehicles rising to 1,69,428 units from 1,53,134 units in the same month last year.
Including sales to other OEMs, total domestic dispatches rose 11.4 per cent to 1,78,211 units, compared with 1,60,016 units a year earlier.
Total sales for the month increased 16.7 per cent to 2,25,251 units from 1,92,984 units, supported by strong export performance.

Segment-wise performance
Domestic passenger vehicle sales stood at 1,66,219 units, while light commercial vehicle sales were reported at 3,209 units.
Mini and compact cars together contributed 83,530 units to the company’s domestic sales, while utility vehicles accounted for 71,356 units, indicating steady demand in the segment.
Van sales stood at 11,333 units during the month, while there were no sales reported in the mid-size sedan segment.
Sales to other OEMs were recorded at 8,783 units.
The overall performance reflects stable domestic demand, with exports providing a strong incremental boost to total volumes during the month.
