JSW MG Motor ZS EVJSW MG Motor India on Wednesday reported wholesale sales of 6,528 units in March 2026, up 19 per cent compared with the same month last year, reflecting sustained demand across its internal combustion engine (ICE) and new energy vehicle (NEV) portfolios.
The company said robust sales momentum continued into the end of the fiscal year, supported by both traditional and electric vehicle offerings.
In response to rising input costs, JSW MG Motor India announced a price increase of up to 2 per cent across its MG portfolio, effective April 1, 2026. Additionally, the company said it will implement a price hike of up to 7 per cent on the MG SELECT portfolio—including flagship models such as the MG Cyberster and the MG M9—also effective from April 1.
The price adjustments aim to partially offset the impact of inflationary pressures on raw materials and components.
India’s electric vehicle market recorded historic highs in March, per industry estimates, amid broader auto industry dynamics, with both electric two-wheelers and electric passenger vehicles posting strong growth despite headwinds related to geopolitical tensions in West Asia.
The record growth in EV sales came even as the government’s goods and services tax (GST) rate cuts for ICE vehicles narrowed some of the price differential, contributing to a surge in ICE vehicle volumes alongside rising EV penetration.
