Anne FALLS down stairs during ‘TDWP2’ shoot – WATCH

Anne Hathaway FALLS down stairs during 'The Devil Wears Prada 2' shoot; recovers like a pro - WATCH

Hollywood star Anne Hathaway suffered a wardrobe malfunction that caused her to take a tumble down the stairs. The actress, who has been busy filming the second instalment of her hit film ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ in New York City, was seen filming in a residential neighbourhood. However, during the shoot, the actress was captured on camera, falling down a few stairs. It was later revealed that the heel of her shoe snapped mid-scene.

Anne takes a tumble on the sets

Photos from the shoot show Hathaway dressed in a chic knee-length pleated skirt paired with a sheer top, silver-studded strappy heels, and oversized sunglasses. The scene involved the actress descending a few stairs when her heel seemed to snap off, prompting her to fall down the stairs. Crew members on the sets were seen rushing to assist her, but Anne quickly got on her feet and assured all, “I’m fine!” It remains unclear whether the tumble was part of the script or simply a set accident.

About the film’s cast

‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ sees Hathaway returning as Andy Sachs, reuniting with Meryl Streep (Miranda Priestly), Emily Blunt (Emily Charlton), and Stanley Tucci (Nigel). The original 2006 film, became a global hit and a defining moment in fashion cinema. Joining the returning cast are Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux, B.J. Novak, Pauline Chalamet, Simone Ashley, Kenneth Branagh, Caleb Hearon, and Broadway stars Helen J. Shen and Conrad Ricamora. Blunt was spotted on set earlier this summer, showcasing both her character’s fiery red locks and a striking bleach-blonde bob.

Release date

Directed by David Frankel, the film is set for release on May 1, 2026.
