Ranveer admits getting teary-eyed over Arijit’s Phir Se

''I cried, did you?' Ranveer Singh admits getting teary-eyed over Arijit Singh's emotional ‘Phir Se’ from ‘Dhurandhar 2’

Ranveer dropped Arijit Singh’s emotional ‘Phir Se’ video, captioning: “I cried. Did you?” It features family moments with Jaskirat, Yalina, and son Zayan. Co-stars shower love; fans tear up over spy’s homecoming. Sequel to 2025 hit released March 19, earning praise.

Ranveer Singh has dropped the music video for the track ‘Phir Se’ from ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’, sung by Arijit Singh. Though the song and its visuals pack an emotional punch, it’s Ranveer’s caption that really stands out, “I cried. Did you?”.

Ranveer Singh’s family moments in ‘Phir Se’

The video showcases Jaskirat Singh Rangi’s warm family scenes back in India, alongside tender romantic shots of Yalina Jamali (Sara Arjun) and Jaskirat in his guise as Hamza Ali Mazari. Their little boy Zayan (Umarr Navid Nirban) pops up in fleeting yet powerful moments too.

Ranveer Singh gets love from co-stars

In response to the post, Gaurav Gera (Mohammed Aalam in the film) left a trail of red heart emojis. Pari Pandher, who played Jaskirat’s sister Jasleen Kaur Rangi, chimed in with, “Jassi veerey.” Meanwhile, Saumya Tandon (Ulfat) shared, “I cried in the Punjab back story. You were so good. The scene where you recover your sister was devastatingly a good scene and yes I cried.”

Ranveer Singh’s emotional scene in ‘Phir Se’

In ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’, ‘Phir Se’ plays during a very emotional part, when Jaskirat comes back to India after years as a spy in Pakistan. He left his wife Yalina and son Zayan behind. Before any meeting with his team, he goes straight to his village to see his family. But at his home’s door, he stops and doesn’t go in, leaving the movie open-ended. The feelings in his eyes can make anyone cry and reach for a tissue.

Ranveer Singh as Hamza in ‘Dhurandhar’ sequel

‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’, helmed by Aditya Dhar, picks up as the sequel to 2025’s big hit ‘Dhurandhar’. It dives into Ranveer Singh’s Hamza Ali Mazari, who started as plain old Jaskirat Singh Rangi, a Punjab village kid. Crazy turns and hard knocks land him behind bars, until India’s government taps him for a top-secret undercover gig. Released on March 19, it is getting a good response from the audience.
