Shamita Shetty breaks her silence on breakup with Raqesh Bapat: 'It is a chapter that is erased in my life...'

Shamita Shetty has addressed her breakup with Raqesh Bapat, stating that she has moved on and is now prioritizing her independence and peace. She described her relationship with Bapat as a closed chapter, emphasizing the importance of self-growth. Shetty also expressed her unwillingness to compromise her happiness for a relationship that doesn’t respect her soul.

Shamita Shetty has finally opened up about her breakup with Raqesh Bapat, reflecting on her journey from finding love inside the Bigg Boss OTT house to moving on as an independent woman. The actress revealed how she has mentally closed that chapter of her life and embraced self-growth and personal peace.

Neutral relationships

Shamita told Pinkvilla that forming relationships inside the Bigg Boss house is natural, as contestants seek support during vulnerable moments. She added that such a bond wouldn’t have happened outside the show, calling her relationship with Raqesh Bapat a chapter that is erased from her life.The actress further spoke about embracing life as an independent woman, saying it’s natural to grow into your own ways over time. She explained that you learn what works for you and what doesn’t, and that you don’t want to compromise on it.

Prioritizing peace over loneliness

She also added that as an independent working woman, she isn’t willing to compromise her peace for someone else’s loneliness. She noted that many enter relationships out of loneliness, but for her, reaching a point of happiness on her own and in her own space took time.Shamita expressed that relationships can often be draining and added that until she finds someone who truly respects her soul, she isn’t willing to take things further.

Love story and breakup

Raqesh and Shamita fell in love during Bigg Boss OTT in 2021 and continued dating after the show, but they parted ways a year later. In January 2022, Shetty confirmed the breakup, urging fans to continue supporting them individually and expressing gratitude for their love and positivity.
