BTS makes full-group return in Seoul, opens ‘ARIRANG’ concert

BTS makes full-group return in Seoul, opens ‘ARIRANG’ concert with ‘Body to Body’

BTS dominated Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul with an exhilarating performance that marked their grand re-entrance after four years, titled ‘BTS The Comeback Live: ARIRANG.’ Their show, broadcast worldwide on Netflix, broke international records and captivated fans, even with RM battling an ankle injury.

BTS returned to the stage as a full group on March 21, 2026, with ‘BTS The Comeback Live: ARIRANG’ at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul, marking their first full-group concert in nearly four years. The seven members, RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook, performed before a massive crowd in the city center and for a global audience through Netflix. The concert came a day after the release of their new album ‘ARIRANG’ and turned into an emotional reunion with fans after the group’s long military hiatus.

BTS comeback concert in Seoul and Netflix live stream

According to The Indian Express, BIGHIT MUSIC confirmed before the show that RM had suffered an ankle injury during rehearsals, including “a sprain, partial ligament tear, and contusion.” The report added that he would wear a cast and limit movement for at least two weeks, though he still joined the concert. The Indian Express, citing various Korean news outlets, reported that the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency deployed close to 15,000 safety personnel, including 6,500 police officers, for the event. The Korea Times reported that authorities tightened security, raised the terrorism advisory level to “caution,” and used metal detectors, drone jammers, and AI-based CCTV monitoring to manage the crowd. The group opened the show with ‘Body to Body.’ The performance ended with “five women in traditional Korean attire closing out the vocals in a Korean folk style,” linking the comeback to Korean cultural imagery. BTS then moved into ‘Hooligan’ and ‘2.0,’ wearing black hip-hop inspired outfits under red stage lights. RM performed seated during part of the segment because of his injury.

BTS ‘ARIRANG’ songs, fan messages and emotional comeback

Before the concert, Suga wrote on Weverse, “Hello, everyone. We’re working hard with the members to show you a good performance!” He also told fans, “I miss you. See you soon!” Jungkook shared his own message ahead of the event, writing, “We’ll do our best on stage today! Let’s all meet safely and have a fun and happy time.”On stage, BTS greeted fans with, “Hello, we are BTS,” and thanked them for waiting. Jungkook added, “We have something special tonight. We’ll do our best, give everything we got.” The set mixed new songs with older hits including ‘Butter,’ ‘Mic Drop,’ ‘Dynamite,’ and ‘Mikrokosmos.’The concert also gave fans a deeper look at the group’s mindset. RM said the group wanted to make songs that felt true to them after spending two months in Los Angeles working on music. Suga said there were long conversations behind the album and that the goal was to show the honest side of all seven members. Jimin told fans, “We are just like you, scared and worried all the time. Despite that, the seven of us want to accept those feelings and keep swimming together.”That theme carried through the performance of ‘Swim’ and into the final stretch of the show. BTS closed the night with ‘Mikrokosmos,’ thanked ARMY for their support, and asked fans to get home safely after the concert. Go to Source
