“I’m not Epstein, I’m Pete”: Florida lookalike breaks silence after viral I-95 video

A Florida man has finally cleared the confusion after a viral video made many people believe they had spotted a lookalike of the late Jeffrey Epstein on a highway. The short clip showed a man wearing sunglasses and a white cap, driving a convertible in South Florida. It spread quickly online after being shared with the caption, “Epstein out here in South Florida,” which led to widespread speculation.As the video gained millions of views, people across social media started discussing the resemblance. Some joked about it, while others seriously questioned who the man was. After a few days of online buzz, the man in the video decided to speak out. In a podcast interview, he introduced himself as Palm Beach Pete and cleared the air.

“I’m not Jeffrey Epstein, I’m Palm Beach Pete,” he said. Pete also explained what actually happened that day. He said he was just driving on Interstate 95 on his way to play tennis when someone randomly filmed him. “My video went viral because some dude randomly filmed me while I was driving on I-95,” he added.Pete, who is a former Division 1 tennis player and a gold medallist, said the sudden attention caught him off guard. His phone started “blowing up” soon after the video went viral. He also said that the situation has started affecting his daily life, as strangers now recognise him in public and ask for photos.He shared that during a recent restaurant visit, people recognised him from the video and asked for pictures. Similar things happened at a bar as well. Despite the confusion and attention, Pete said he is taking it in good humour. The viral moment comes amid renewed online claims about Epstein, including remarks by Prince Andrew’s former girlfriend Lady Victoria Hervey, who said in an interview with LBC Radio that she believes Epstein could be alive and possibly in Israel. Also, an image created much frenzy online claiming to show Epstein in Israel, but it was later debunked as AI-generated, adding to the wave of speculation. .
