In a major escalation, Israel has intensified its bombardment in Lebanon, carrying out heavy missile strikes in central Beirut. At least six more people have been reported dead, pushing the toll even higher as Israeli forces continue targeting Hezbollah positions. Visuals from Beirut show widespread destruction, damaged buildings, and panic among civilians. Meanwhile, Israel has claimed the killing of Ali Larijani’s son, Ali Reza Bayat, although confirmation from Iran is still awaited. This comes after earlier reports of Larijani and senior commander Gholam Reza Soleimani being killed. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that key “terror leaders” have been eliminated, while also addressing Iranian citizens with a message during Nowruz. Iran, in response, has escalated attacks under its 61st missile wave, targeting cities like Tel Aviv and Petah Tikva, causing casualties and infrastructure damage. Reports also suggest Russia may be providing intelligence support to Iran, raising concerns of a broader global divide as the conflict intensifies.
