Usually, reburials from this period left remains disturbed or damaged.Many of the coffins reportedly belong to women with the title “Singer of Amun.” That title was not just decorative. These women took part in temple ceremonies and might have influenced their communities. Experts say this shows a more nuanced picture of women in ancient Egypt spiritually and socially. Dr. Zawi Hawass, overseeing the excavation, notes that the find could change our understanding of female roles in Egyptian society. Some coffins bear professional titles, giving clues about the identities and status of those inside. Personal names are rare, but their importance is clear.
