While talking to Rediff, RGV opened up about what he thinks about ‘Dhurandhar.’ Beyond that, he even opened up about how there is a lot of hatred against Aditya Dhar in the industry. He shared that since ‘Dhurandhar’ was a huge success, and that Dhar has managed to change how films will be made, many people in the industry have developed a dislike towards him.He added, “So, of course, they hate him. He has forced them to get out of their comfort zones, and that costs a lot of money.” Not only that, but he also commented about how the industry is now ‘watching’ Yami Gautam and Aditya Dhar and waiting for them to fail or make a mistake. He shared, “Aditya Dhar and Yami Gautam will have to move forward with extra caution. The film industry is waiting for them to fumble and fall.”

Ram Gopal Varma says that ‘Dhurandhar’ has changed Indian cinema

Citing that Dhar has “changed the entire grammar of storytelling on screen”, the veteran filmmaker added that filmmaking and storytelling in Indian cinema will never be the same after ‘Dhurandhar.’ He also cited an example, saying, “In Telugu, many of the forthcoming big-budget action films are undergoing massive reshoots, which means huge budgetary liabilities. So, of course, they hate him. He has forced them to get out of their comfort zones, and that costs a hell of a lot of money.”

About ‘Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge’

The premise of the second film will follow right after the events of the first film. This time around, after Rehman Dakait’s death, the new villain in focus will be played by Arjun Rampal’s character, Major Iqbal. It follows his transformation from Jaskirat Singh Rangi to Hamza Ali Mazari on another level as he works from within the regime to provide intel and thwart their plans for any attacks. The film is being released on March 19, and is said to have a run time of 3 hours and 55 minutes. Go to Source
