A documentary chronicling Tamil star Ajith Kumar’s professional racing journey is reportedly set for a grand theatrical release on May 1, 2026, coinciding with his birthday. Directed by A. L. Vijay, the film captures his motorsport experiences. Netflix has secured the OTT rights, with the score composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar.

A documentary on the racing journey of Ajith Kumar is reportedly gearing up for release and the project has been one of the most talked-about ventures among the actor’s fans in recent months. Vijay and the documentary reportedly revolves around Ajith’s experiences in the world of motorsport.The possibility of a theatrical release has now created even more excitement among fans. Earlier, the project was believed to be planned only for a digital premiere.

May 1 release planned for Ajith Kumar’s birthday

The latest reports from the same portal suggests that the documentary might release on May 1, 2026 and the date is significant because it coincides with Ajith Kumar’s 55th birthday. Reports also say that the makers are planning a grand theatrical release before the film arrives on streaming platforms. An official announcement regarding the release date is expected in the coming weeks.

OTT rights of the documentary

The documentary has also secured a major streaming deal. According to reports, Netflix has acquired the OTT rights for the ambitious project for a substantial price.However, the film will reportedly arrive on the platform only after completing its theatrical run. Reports suggest that music composer G. V. Prakash Kumar has composed the background score for the documentary.

Ajith Kumar has never hidden his deep love for racing. Last year, when he completed 33 years in the film industry, the actor shared a heartfelt statement that read, “That track doesn’t care who you are, it only values discipline, focus, and determination.
