Hansika Motwani officially divorced from husband Sohael Khaturiya

Hansika Motwani officially divorced from husband Sohael Khaturiya after four years of marriage; actress didn't seek alimony

Hansika Motwani had tied the knot with businessman husband Sohael Khaturiya in December 2022. However, rumours of their divorce were ongoing since last year but the actress maintained silence on them. Now, the duo have officially ended their marriage, with the Bandra family court in Mumbai granting them a divorce. The actor had filed for separation through a mutual consent petition and reportedly chose not to seek any streedhan or alimony as part of the settlement. During the proceedings, Motwani was represented by advocate Adnan Shaikh. According to him, the couple stayed together only briefly after their wedding before realising that fundamental differences were affecting their relationship. Over time, disparities in their temperaments, viewpoints and lifestyles led to repeated disagreements between them. The petition submitted before the court stated that even small matters often escalated into arguments, making it increasingly difficult for the couple to continue sharing a home. Eventually, they concluded that separating would be the best course of action. The plea also noted that family members and close friends attempted several times to mend the relationship and encouraged the couple to work through their differences. However, these efforts did not lead to a reconciliation. Ultimately, both parties agreed to end the marriage amicably and have been living separately since July 2, 2024. While the relationship had reportedly become strained at one point, Motwani and Khaturiya later held discussions and decided to proceed with a mutual divorce. They subsequently submitted affidavits confirming that neither side would make any financial or legal claims against the other. The couple did not have any children during their marriage.
