Sonu Nigam says SRK is very well-behaved, talks about Aamir

Sonu Nigam says he has never seen any actor as well-behaved as Shah Rukh Khan: 'I have recently become friends with Aamir Khan too...'

Sonu Nigam lauded Shah Rukh Khan’s humility and consistent acknowledgment of others’ contributions, highlighting SRK’s rare generosity in the industry. Despite their collaborations on numerous iconic songs, Nigam appreciated SRK always giving credit where it’s due. Reflecting on his brief acting stint in films like Jaani Dushman, Nigam expressed disappointment, leading him to focus solely on his flourishing music career.

Singer Sonu Nigam recently opened up about his admiration for Shah Rukh Khan, praising his humility, generosity, and consistent acknowledgment of others’ contributions. Having worked with SRK on several iconic songs, Sonu also reflected on his brief acting stint, sharing why he ultimately chose to focus on his flourishing music career.

A special personality in Bollywood

In a conversation with Faridoon Shahryar, Sonu praised Shah Rukh as a truly special personality who rose to the top of his field through hard work. He highlighted SRK’s humility and generosity, saying he has never seen a mainstream actor behave as graciously, despite having every reason to be egotistical. Sonu also mentioned that he has recently become friends with Aamir Khan, who he described as a wonderful person, but noted that Shah Rukh’s consistency over the years is unmatched.

He added that the superstar has always credited him for his songs, even though he had no obligation to do so. Sonu Nigam emphasized that it is rare for someone of SRK’s stature to openly acknowledge and appreciate the contributions of others.

Giving credit where it’s due

Nigam further added that he truly appreciates SRK’s habit of giving credit, especially since many in the industry often overlook others’ contributions. He noted that singers frequently perform iconic songs, yet others receive awards without acknowledging them—something SRK has consistently avoided. The actor and singer have collaborated on numerous iconic songs over the years, including Kal Ho Naa Ho, Suraj Hua Maddham, Main Agar Kahoon, Do Pal, Tumhi Dekho Na, Deewangi Deewangi, Tujh Mein Rab Dikhta Hai, Yeh Dil Deewana, Satrangi Re, Tumse Milke Dil Ka Hai Jo Haal, and many others.

Brief acting stint and career shift

The singer also appeared in films like Jaani Dushman: Ek Anokhi Kahani, Kash Aap Hamare Hote, and Love In Nepal. Reflecting on his acting experiences, Nigam expressed disappointment with the outcomes of these films. He had hoped that the presence of established actors such as Akshay Kumar and Sunny Deol would ensure the success of Jaani Dushman, but the film did not meet expectations. Similarly, he criticized Kash Aap Hamare Hote for its lack of preparation, recalling how the climax was being written during the shoot. These experiences led Nigam to reassess his career path, ultimately deciding to focus on his successful music career and stepping away from acting.See More: Preeti Jhangiani says she learnt humility from Shah Rukh Khan on sets of Mohabbatein: ‘He would be sitting on the floor with the spot boy’ Go to Source
