Kit Harington on parenthood and ‘Industry’ fame

Kit Harington opens up about 'Industry', parenthood, and his life off screen: 'I'm naked about 90% of the time'

Kit Harington brought some humor to the table, stating he’s often found in the buff during the fourth season of ‘Industry,’ a choice he made himself. He recounted a cute moment with his son, showing how fatherhood provides him with balance amid the challenging portrayal of Henry Muck.

Kit Harington gave fans a funny and revealing update on his life with ‘Industry’ during his appearance on ‘The Tonight Show’. The actor joked that it is his own fault he is naked “about 90% of the time” in season four, then followed it with a warm family story showing a very different side of his life off screen. The appearance came as Harington continues to draw attention for playing the troubled Henry Muck, one of the most talked-about figures in the latest season of ‘Industry.’

Kit Harington on ‘Industry’ Season 4

Art Threat reported that Harington stopped by ‘The Tonight Show’ to discuss ‘Industry’ season four and shared “an absolutely hilarious story about his young son.” The outlet said the actor spoke about playing the “morally corrupt Henry Muck” and how fatherhood keeps him grounded. The report also noted that he arrived “energized and ready to chat” about a role that has earned praise for bringing depth to a character “constantly teetering on the edge.”

Henry Muck future and season 4 finale

The Hollywood Reporter added more context about where Henry stands after the season finale. Harington said he was struck by the tone of his character’s ending during a group screening. “I turned to the person next to me and said wow, it’s really tragic isn’t it?” he recalled with a laugh. “When I was playing it, I was having so much fun. Clearly, tragicomedy is a strain of acting that I enjoy.”He also spoke frankly about Henry and Yasmin’s collapse. “She’s right to leave him, and it takes someone stronger than him to do that,” Harington said. “He has not listened to her at all. He’s not seen her, seen who she is.” He added, “Hopefully this is a wonderful one-season burnout marriage, which I think it was always going to be.”On the role itself, Harington said some lines instantly stood out. “In the final episode, I remember the line where I tell [Max Minghella] that he’s ‘a fucking peasant.’” He added, “I’d rather die as me than run as you.”Harrington also explained how family helps him switch off after intense scenes. “The best thing is that I have my kids staying with me in Cardiff, so I come off set from one of those drug-taking scenes or what have you, and I have them to snap me back.”Harington is still best known worldwide for playing Jon Snow in ‘Game of Thrones’. More recently, he appeared in the crime thriller ‘Blood for Dust’ and in ‘Industry’ as Henry Muck. He also has upcoming work on the horizon, including ‘The Dreadful’. Off screen, Harington is married to fellow actor Rose Leslie, his former ‘Game of Thrones’ co-star. The couple married in 2018 and have two children, a son and a daughter.
