Priyanka Chopra Jonas recently shared her insights on Indian history, the Vedas, and mythology during a podcast. She highlighted India’s history of being invaded but never invading others, and discussed ancient scriptures mentioning advanced technologies like ‘flying machines.’ Chopra also touched upon Hindu mythology’s themes of divine and human coexistence.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas may be known for her acting and singing prowess; however, the star is also well-versed in Indian history. The star recently featured on a podcast series where she opened up about the Indian scriptures, the Vedas, and Indian mythology, among many other things.

While featuring on the latest episode of Joe Rogan’s podcast, the ‘Bluff’ star opened up about her knowledge of Indian history and mythology, as well as other religious scriptures and texts. The actress delved into the historic events of Indian history, which included the Mughal and British invasions. Commenting on the matter, the actress noted that the country has been invaded on multiple occasions; however, India has never invaded another region, as history dictates. Addressing the East India Company, Chopra mentioned, “If you think about how much they were able to achieve in their minds, and how much they were able to destroy in that duration – it’s crazy. If you go down history, they changed the course of countries forever, human lives forever.”Chopra also shifted the topic to the Vedas, discussing how old scriptures mention advanced technologies, such as “flying machines and energy-propelled arrows.” Chopra further added, “You’re saying you have flying objects, you have spears with some sort of energy, you have bows and arrows with some sort of energy that travels beyond time and light. And there’s so much of all of this stuff referenced back then, which maybe humans thought was magic but was some form of ancient technology. Like, who’s to say?”

During one segment of the podcast, Rogan opened up the topic of Hindu mythology, citing that it contains many mysterious themes. Chopra opened up the debate and mentioned how the texts often talk about three entities existing in the same body at the same time. She added, “In Hindu mythology also, we read about a time where God, humans, and demons existed at the same time and procreated.” On the work front, Chopra has been keeping busy from the get-go, as soon as 2026 started. From making an appearance at the Golden Globe Awards to releasing her action-packed film ‘The Bluff’ and prepping for SS Rajamouli’s ‘Varanasi’, the actress is all set for the beginning of the year.
