Priyanka Chopra discusses Indian history, the Vedas, and more

While featuring on the latest episode of Joe Rogan’s podcast, the ‘Bluff’ star opened up about her knowledge of Indian history and mythology, as well as other religious scriptures and texts. The actress delved into the historic events of Indian history, which included the Mughal and British invasions. Commenting on the matter, the actress noted that the country has been invaded on multiple occasions; however, India has never invaded another region, as history dictates. Addressing the East India Company, Chopra mentioned, “If you think about how much they were able to achieve in their minds, and how much they were able to destroy in that duration – it’s crazy. If you go down history, they changed the course of countries forever, human lives forever.”Chopra also shifted the topic to the Vedas, discussing how old scriptures mention advanced technologies, such as “flying machines and energy-propelled arrows.” Chopra further added, “You’re saying you have flying objects, you have spears with some sort of energy, you have bows and arrows with some sort of energy that travels beyond time and light. And there’s so much of all of this stuff referenced back then, which maybe humans thought was magic but was some form of ancient technology. Like, who’s to say?”

She added, “In Hindu mythology also, we read about a time where God, humans, and demons existed at the same time and procreated.” On the work front, Chopra has been keeping busy from the get-go, as soon as 2026 started. From making an appearance at the Golden Globe Awards to releasing her action-packed film ‘The Bluff’ and prepping for SS Rajamouli’s ‘Varanasi’, the actress is all set for the beginning of the year. In her return to the South Indian industry, Chopra will star opposite big names like Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran. Go to Source
