Breaking News: Iran Signals Escalation After Deploying Kheibar Shekan Missile

The ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel has intensified on the seventh day as Iran reportedly deployed its powerful Kheibar Shekan ballistic missile, considered a major strategic weapon. Military analysts believe Iran deliberately held back this missile during the early days of the conflict, using older weapons first while conserving advanced systems for a prolonged war. Iran claims its missile strikes targeted multiple locations in Tel Aviv, increasing pressure on Israel’s defense network, including the Iron Dome. The Kheibar Shekan missile carries cluster munitions that spread multiple smaller bombs over a wide area, making interception extremely difficult and increasing the risk of large-scale damage. Some unexploded sub-munitions can remain active on the ground and detonate later, posing long-term threats to civilians. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed that the use of Kheibar Shekan is only the beginning and warned that more advanced weapons may soon be deployed. Experts say Iran has heavily invested in missile and drone technology, including systems like the Shahed‑136, which have previously been used in other conflicts.
