Ford is recalling 604,533 vehicles in the US because the windshield ‌wiper motor may fail, reducing visibility and increasing the risk of a crash, the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said on Thursday.

The recall includes ‌certain 2020-2022 Explorer, Escape, Lincoln Aviator, and Lincoln Corsair vehicles.

Dealers will inspect and replace the front wiper motors as necessary, free of charge, the agency said.

Separately, the ‌automaker is also recalling 11,431 US vehicles as the driveshaft’s friction weld may fail, resulting in rear driveshaft separation and a sudden loss of drive power, NHTSA said.
