Milla Jovovich shares that her latest project, ‘Protector,’ stands out as one of her most intense yet rewarding experiences. In a bold move, she chose to perform intricate stunts without CGI, even daring to hang upside down for considerable stretches. Actress Milla Jovovich is well-known for her action-packed work, especially in the ‘Resident Evil’ franchise. Over the years, she has worked in many films; however, one of her latest features, ‘Protector,’ has proven to be one of her most challenging roles. In a recent interview, the star revealed that she had to do many challenging stunts while filming her latest movie.

Jovovich is all set for the release of her latest film, ‘Protector’; however, the production journey was not entirely easy for her. While talking to PEOPLE, the actress revealed that she wanted to remain as authentic as possible for the filmShe mentioned how often CGI is used for films and such action scenes, and that she wanted to remain authentic. “It was really fun to be able to do a film where the only way to get it done is for you to do it. You know, the only way that my face is going to turn blue is to hang upside down for a long time and make sure that it’s done correctly,” she added.The 50-year-old also added that she was heavily involved in the post-production aspect, which she truly enjoyed. She talked about how often, when an actor finishes filming, that is the end of the journey, and they never know what will happen next. However, this time around, that was not the case for her. Describing the overall experience, she cited, “It was one of the most difficult films physically and emotionally that I’ve ever shot, but also one of the most satisfying experiences.”

Premise of ‘Protector’

The story follows Nikki, who gives up a life of violence to raise her daughter Chloe. At first, things seem to be going well for her, though the past still comes knocking. Chloe has been kidnapped and Nikki wakes up in an abandoned warehouse with no recollection of where she is or what happened. ‘Protector’ is slated for theatrical release on March 6.
