Tata Motors SierraNew Delhi: Tata Motors on Tuesday said it has delivered 10,000 units of the Tata Sierra to customers, marking an early milestone for the recently relaunched SUV in the domestic market.
The company shared the update on social media, stating that “10,000 Sierras delivered. A legacy, back where it belongs — on the road,” highlighting the strong initial response to the revived nameplate.
The Sierra, launched in November 2025, represents the return of one of Tata Motors’ most iconic SUV badges. Deliveries of the model began in mid-January 2026.
The SUV is offered with three engine options — a 1.5-litre Hyperion T-GDi turbo-petrol engine, a 1.5-litre Revotron naturally aspirated petrol engine, and a 1.5-litre Kryojet diesel engine. Transmission choices include manual, dual-clutch automatic and torque converter automatic options depending on the powertrain configuration.
Built on the company’s ARGOS architecture, the Sierra is positioned in the mid-size SUV segment and comes equipped with Level 2+ advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) along with multiple safety and comfort features.
The model forms part of Tata Motors’ strategy to strengthen its SUV portfolio by reviving legacy nameplates with modern platforms, technology and powertrain options to appeal to a new generation of buyers.
