When Sidharth and Kiara relived Holi nostalgia

When Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani relived Holi nostalgia, 'It was all about colors, laughter, and endless fun'

As Holi approaches on March 3, Bollywood couple Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani revisit the joy and color of their childhood celebrations. In a 2025 chat with ETimes, Sidharth had recalled how Holi shaped some of his happiest early memories. “Holi has always been a grand celebration for me,” he said. He explained how the festival was full of excitement when he grew up in Delhi. “Growing up in Delhi, my cousins and I would wake up early, load up on water balloons, and make sure we had the coolest water guns in the colony. It was all about colors, laughter, and endless fun. You’d step out knowing you wouldn’t return home looking the same.”

Festivals help him pause and reconnect

Sidharth also reflected on how the festival’s meaning evolved as he grew older. He noted that Holi now feels more reflective. “Festivals like Holi are a reminder to pause and reconnect with family, friends, and even yourself. No matter how packed my schedule gets, I try to be home for Holi,” he said. As he compared past and present celebrations, he added, “Unlike my childhood days, when Holi was more about playing with colors and water till afternoon, running around with friends, and eating all you can, now, the festival is more about the energy, the happiness it brings, and just being in the moment. ”

Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra prefer simple, festive moments

This year marks the couple’s third Holi together. Their celebration gains added meaning as they prepare to welcome their baby. Sidharth highlighted how their preferences align. “With Kiara, Holi has been just as fun with colors, music, and the whole vibe. We enjoy keeping things simple yet festive, like playing with colors, spending time with loved ones, and, of course, indulging in special Holi treats.”

‘Toxic’ creates excitement

While the couple gears up for Holi, Kiara also draws attention for her next film with Yash, titled Toxic. A new poster from the film’s first song, “Tabaahi,” was shared on the official social media page. In the poster, Yash lies on the sand while Kiara sits behind him with her arms wrapped around him. Yash appears in grey trousers, while Kiara wears a white shirt. The caption read, “12:59 PM | March 2nd.”

Personal life

The celebrity couple tied the knot on February 7, 2023, in an intimate ceremony at Suryagarh Palace in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. Kiara and Sid welcomed home their firstborn on July 15, 2025 and later named her ‘Saraayah Malhotra,’ meaning ‘God’s princess’.
