In a major and highly controversial development, Israeli officials have reportedly confirmed the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei following recent airstrikes. According to Israeli media outlet N12, documents and visual evidence of Khamenei’s body were shown to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who then publicly claimed that the Iranian leader was no longer alive. US President Donald Trump also stated on his Truth Social platform that Khamenei had been killed, reinforcing Israeli claims. Israeli sources further allege that two members of Khamenei’s family, including his daughter-in-law and son-in-law, were killed in the strikes targeting his residence and key facilities. Additional unverified reports from Israeli media suggest that senior Iranian military officials, possibly including members of the IRGC leadership and even Iran’s defense minister, may have been killed in the operation. Despite these claims, there has been no official confirmation from Iran. Critical questions now emerge: Will this escalate or end the war?
