Ramayana, led by Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, and Yash, is gearing up for a grand international debut. A trailer is eyed for a July reveal at San Diego Comic-Con, aiming to present the mythological saga as a global cinematic spectacle. The two-part epic will release its first chapter in 2026, with early screenings already drawing positive reactions.

The makers of ‘Ramayana’ are gearing up for a big international moment. The team is in advanced talks to unveil the trailer for the Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, and Yash starrer at San Diego Comic-Con in July. Director Nitesh Tiwari is mounting the two-part epic for a 2026 release, and interest has risen after a recent Los Angeles focus-group screening yielded positive feedback.

Ramayana’s trailer launch at San Diego Comic-Con

Mid-Day reports that the producers are already deep into discussions with San Diego Comic-Con to stage a high-profile trailer launch. If the plan locks in, ‘Ramayana’ would share space with major global franchise presentations at the event.A report further added that, “Comic-Con gives it a global platform. The idea is to present the mythological drama not just as an Indian epic, but as a cinematic spectacle to the world. The feedback at the screening has strengthened the team’s belief that the film can travel across cultures.” The report also states that the epic film could be screened at major film festivals before its release in November this year. The Los Angeles focus group screening reportedly impressed viewers, who praised the film’s scale and visual grandeur.

Ramayana’s cast, release date, and two-part plan

‘Ramayana’ features a large ensemble cast. Ranbir Kapoor plays Lord Rama, while Sai Pallavi portrays Sita. Yash takes on the role of Ravana. Sunny Deol appears as Hanuman, and Ravie Dubey plays Laxman. The film also stars Arun Govil, Kunal Kapoor, Adinath Kothare, Sheeba Chaddha, Indira Krishnan, and Rakul Preet Singh in key roles.The project is planned as a two-part epic. The first part of ‘Ramayana’ will release in theaters on Diwali 2026. The second installment is set to arrive in 2027. With early praise from the Los Angeles screening and plans for a global trailer launch, the makers are positioning the film as a large-scale cinematic event for audiences worldwide.
