Breaking News: Congress Reacts as Kejriwal & Sisodia Acquitted, CBI Faces Departmental Inquiry

Breaking News: The Rouse Avenue Court has acquitted Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, and 21 other accused in the high-profile liquor policy case. The court observed that the evidence and charges presented by the CBI did not match, granting full relief to all 23 accused. Additionally, the court recommended a departmental inquiryagainst the investigating officials, highlighting accountability concerns. Congress leader Tariq Anwar has welcomed the verdict, stating that the case reflected politically motivated targeting of opposition leaders and that justice has prevailed. He emphasized that deliberate attempts to undermine AAP were evident, and the acquittal sends a strong message against misuse of investigative agencies. Following the verdict, Kejriwal was seen emotionally meeting his family, expressing relief at being vindicated after months of legal and political struggle. His wife, Sunita Kejriwal, also praised the judiciary and stressed that no power surpasses divine justice, thanking supporters who stood by them during the ordeal. This verdict is expected to revitalize the Aam Aadmi Party politically, setting the stage for renewed activity in upcoming elections and public engagement. The CBI, however, has signaled its intention to challenge the ruling in the Delhi High Court, beginning a new phase in the legal proceedings.
