‘Salim Khan is out of danger,’ says Salman’s co-star Daisy Shah

'Salim Khan is out of danger,' says Salman Khan's co-star Daisy Shah as she gives update on the veteran screenwriter's health

Well-wishers of veteran screenwriter Salim Khan offered prayers for his recovery after he was admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai. Doctors informed the media that he had experienced a minor brain haemorrhage and subsequently underwent a surgical procedure. In the days that followed, several members of the film fraternity — including Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Ranveer Singh — visited the hospital to extend their support to the family. Now, actor Daisy Shah, who shared screen space with Salman Khan in Jai Ho, has provided an update on Salim Khan’s condition.Speaking in a recent interaction, Daisy revealed that although she hasn’t personally met the family at the hospital, she has been regularly checking in with Salman. She told Filmygyan, “I couldn’t meet Salim sir, but I am constantly in touch with Salman sir and his family. Salim Sir is fine now. He is stable. The surgery went well, it was a success and he is under observation, but he is out of danger.”

Khan family upset over public health update on Salim Khan; Seeks complete privacy

Following the surgery, the hospital had released a medical bulletin regarding his health. However, as per sources quoted by Variety India, the Khan family was reportedly unhappy about the details being shared publicly. They view the matter as strictly personal and believe that any communication about his condition should come directly from them. The source stated, “Health is a private matter. Ideally, no updates should be shared with the media and any communication should be left entirely to the family, if and when they choose to address fans and well-wishers. Salman and his family were displeased with the doctor’s public statement and have clearly conveyed to the authorities that they do not want any further details disclosed.”Elaborating further, the source added, “It can be understandable that there is immense public interest in Salim Saab’s well-being, but medical information is a confidential matter. The family wants to avoid any unnecessary speculation or media scrutiny surrounding Salim Khan’s condition.”Since then, hospital authorities have refrained from issuing additional statements about his health.
