Ssunita Ahuja reveals groupism in the film industry exists more than nepotism

In an interview with Pinkvilla Hindi Rush, Ssunita Ahuja shared how people plotted against Govinda in the industry. She said, “Abhi Govinda jaisa actor toh koi hai nahi, toh sabotage toh karenge hi.” She went on to share that his three films were stalled from releasing. Ssunita said, “Usko platform nahi dete, yeh baat sahi hai.”During the same, she stated that only “groupism” can take one further in the industry. She said, “Agar aapke paas groupism hai na… toh wohi sab chad sakte hai.” The star wife expressed that if one is without a group, no one would ask that person. She wondered how things have turned like this in the showbiz.

Ssunita Ahuja on nepotism in industry

Ssunita added that people say kids from the movie industry get work due to nepotism; however, according to her, that’s not true. She questioned, “Kaha? Kitne bachche toh hai gharpe bethe… Unko platform nahi dia jata hai. Aaplog ek hi group me kaam karte ho…”Govinda’s wife shared that all should get opportunities to work. She mentioned that even if someone is coming from a non-filmy background, people should give the person an opportunity. She said, “Aap apne group me hi karte ho… kya woh group… kisi na kisi din khatam hojayega. Toh kya karoge aap?”She emphasized, “Ek hi actor ko aap kitne baar dekhoge?” Ssunita stated that everyone wants to see new faces, new kids on the screen.
