Campus Controversy: Namaz Row Escalates at Lucknow University, Hindu Groups Announce Hanuman Chalisa Recital

Tensions have escalated at University of Lucknow after prayers were reportedly offered at the Lal Baradari premises inside the campus. The incident has triggered political and student reactions, with a group of students leveling serious allegations against the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM). On the previous day, a section of students staged protests on campus over the issue. In response to the namaz controversy, Hindu organizations including Bajrang Dal and Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) announced that they would recite the Hanuman Chalisa at the same location. Workers from both groups reached the university campus and were expected to hold the recital at Lal Baradari. Following the announcement, heavy security arrangements were put in place. Police and Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) personnel were deployed, and the Lal Baradari area was barricaded to prevent any untoward incident.
