Dil se dhanyavad’: Rajpal Yadav makes FIRST post after securing bail

Dil se dhanyavad': Rajpal Yadav makes FIRST post after securing bail in cheque bounce case, expresses gratitude to fans

Actor Rajpal Yadav has finally broken his silence after securing bail in a high-profile cheque-bounce case. The popular comedian returned to social media with a short but heartfelt note reflecting gratitude rather than bitterness.

Rajpal Yadav’s quiet return with gratitude

Rajpal Yadav chose simplicity over drama for his comeback post. He shared a brief message that read, “”Aap sabhi ke pyaar aur saath ke liye dil se dhanyavad” thanking supporters who stood by him during a difficult phase. Translated into English, it read, “Heartfelt thanks to all of you for your love and support.”The post resonated widely. Fans flooded the comments with encouraging words. Many expressed relief at his release and wished him strength for the future. The understated tone suggested a man eager to move forward rather than revisit controversy.

Legal setback and conditional relief

The Rajpal Yadav cheque bounce case has been a long-standing legal battle dating back to 2010. The case involves a loan taken from Delhi-based Murali Projects Pvt Ltd to finance his directorial debut, ‘Ata Pata Laapata.’ After repeatedly failing to honor court-approved settlement deadlines for an outstanding debt that has ballooned to Rs.9 crore, including interest, the Delhi High Court ordered Yadav to surrender. He was lodged in Tihar Jail on February 5, 2026. However, on February 16, 2026, he was granted interim bail until March 18 to attend his niece’s wedding, provided he deposited Rs. 1.5 crore with the complainant.

Rajpal Yadav’s reflections on life inside jail

Rajpal Yadav highlighted how long the legal process has lasted. He stressed that he has complied with court directions throughout. He said, “Yeh 2012 mei shuru hua, aj 2026 hai. Pichle 10 saal mei High Court ne jahan jahan aadesh diye hai, main hazir mila hu aur aage bhi jahan aadesh milega, main hazir milunga. Mujhe jis tarah se pure desh, duniya aur Bollywood ne pyaar diya, agar mujhpe koi aarop hai, toh main 100 per cent available hu. Thank you High Court, aapne mujhe sunne ka mauka diya.”After walking free, Rajpal spoke candidly about prison conditions. He urged authorities to improve facilities and make jails more humane. He even suggested practical changes, saying there should be “designated smoking areas inside jails, similar to facilities at railway stations and airports.”Beyond amenities, he stressed a deeper issue. He believes prisons should help inmates reform, not just punish them. At the same time, he acknowledged the complexity of justice, noting, “It is often difficult to judge from the outside who is a hardened criminal and who made a one-time mistake.”On the work front, Rajpal Yadav will be seen in ‘Bhooth Bangla’ with Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Tabu, Wamiqa Gabbi, the late Asrani and Manoj Joshi. He will also be seen in ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ featuring Akshay Kumar and Disha Patani. Go to Source
