Maruti Suzuki reveals e-Vitara pricing without BaaS, starting at ₹15.99 lakh

Maruti Suzuki on Wednesday released the full non-BaaS (battery as a service) price list for the new e-Vitara, a day after announcing the BaaS pricing. The standard ex-showroom prices now range from ₹15.99 lakh to ₹20.01 lakh, which is around ₹5–5.5 lakh higher than the BaaS-linked pricing.

Under the BaaS model, prices ranged between ₹10.99 lakh and ₹14.51 lakh, with battery rental rates set at ₹3.99 per km for the 49kWh pack and ₹4.39 per km for the 61kWh pack. Variant and battery configurations remain unchanged, with three trims—Zeta, Delta and Alpha.

The 49kWh battery is offered only on the Zeta variant, while the 61kWh pack is available on the Zeta and Alpha trims. The Zeta variant uses a front-wheel-drive system producing 142bhp and 192.5Nm.

The 61kWh version delivers around 172bhp with the same torque output. The AWD version sold globally will not be introduced in India at this stage. Claimed driving range is up to 440km for the 49kWh versions and up to 543km for the 61kWh variants.

According to the company’s statement, customers purchasing the e-Vitara before March 31 will receive a complimentary home charger with installation included.

Maruti Suzuki will also offer complimentary DC fast charging at Nexa outlets for the first year or up to 1,000 units. The company will provide an eight-year battery warranty and a three-year vehicle warranty.
