Volkswagen India on Friday launched the Tayron Life, a premium five-seater SUV priced at ₹41.99 lakh (ex-showroom), strengthening its premium SUV portfolio with its second locally assembled model introduced in India this year.

The Tayron Life is powered by a 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine paired with a seven-speed DSG automatic transmission and 4Motion all-wheel drive, producing 204 PS of power and 320 Nm of torque.

“This is the third product action for us this year and the second locally assembled model. The Tayron Life strengthens our premium SUV portfolio with a combination of space, advanced technology and German engineering,” said Nitin Kohli, Brand Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars India.

Targets premium SUV buyers

Built on a 2,789 mm wheelbase, the Tayron Life offers an 885-litre boot, expandable to 2,090 litres, positioning it for customers seeking greater practicality in the premium SUV segment.

The SUV comes equipped with Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) featuring 14 functions, nine airbags, a 10.25-inch digital cockpit, a 12.9-inch infotainment system, heated and ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof and an AI-powered voice assistant.

The launch expands Volkswagen India’s premium portfolio, which now comprises the Taigun, Virtus, Tiguan R-Line, Tayron R-Line and Tayron Life, as the automaker continues to strengthen its presence in the premium SUV segment through local assembly.
