Kia Seltos crosses six lakh sales milestone in India

Kia India on Wednesday said its mid-size SUV, the Kia Seltos, has crossed the six lakh cumulative sales milestone in India since its launch in 2019, reinforcing its position as one of the segment’s consistent volume drivers.

The company said that the milestone reflects sustained demand across variants, with top trims contributing 29 per cent of overall sales — indicating rising customer preference for premium features, connected technologies and advanced safety systems.

“Seltos expanded expectations in the mid-SUV segment by offering features and configurations that were not widely available at the time of its launch,” said Sunghack Park, chief sales officer, Kia India.

Since its debut, Seltos has played a pivotal role in establishing Kia’s presence in the Indian market. The model entered the mid-SUV segment with a mix of petrol and diesel powertrains, automatic transmission options across fuel types, and a feature-rich cabin offering large-format infotainment, connected car technology and premium interior finishes.

Over successive updates, the model has incorporated enhanced safety packages and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), broadening its appeal among feature-focused buyers, while retaining competitive value positioning across entry and mid variants.

Kia said that the updated Seltos builds on the model’s established strengths with a refreshed design and enhanced feature set.

With a length of 4,460 mm, a width of 1,830 mm and a wheelbase of 2,690 mm, the new-generation SUV aims to offer improved cabin space and road presence. The company said that upgrades include an expanded digital interface, an enhanced ADAS suite and strengthened safety architecture, alongside improvements in cabin refinement and feature integration.

Multiple powertrain and transmission combinations continue to be offered, maintaining flexibility for a broad customer base.
