When Jaya Bachchan confessed her love for THIS actor

Not Amitabh Bachchan, THIS actor stole Jaya Bachchan’s heart at first sight; she described him as a ‘Greek God’: ‘When I saw him for the first time..’

Jaya Bachcha is one of the Bollywood actresses who is not only celebrated for her work but also for her no-nonsense attitude. The veteran actress has never hesitated in speaking her mind. Be it her love for a person or discontentment over an issue, she doesn’t hold back. A classic example can be found in one of her reality talk show appearances, wherein the actress confessed she was fascinated by an actor’s charm right from the first look, and she wasn’t talking about Amitabh Bachchan. The actress was actually confessing that she had a sweet crush on her ‘Guddi’ co-star Dharmendra.

Jaya Bachchan’s confession of love for Dharmendra

Jaya Bachchan made her debut in Bollywood with Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s film, ‘Guddi.’ She shared the screen with Hindi cinema’s handsome hunk, Dharmendra. On reel, Jaya’s character was fascinated by Dharmendra’s character, and the reality wasn’t so different either.During her appearance on one of the ‘Koffee With Karan’ episodes, the actress confessed her love for Dharmendra, and that too right in front of his wife Hema Malini. She started the dialogue by saying, “I should have played Basanti because I loved Dharmendra.” She then continued, “When I saw him for the first time, I got so nervous, I didn’t know what to do. There was this fantastic-looking man. He was wearing these white pants and shoes, looking like a Greek god.”

When Dharmendra addressed Jaya Bachchan as ‘Guddi’

Recently, Dharmendra and Jaya Bachchan shared the screen after several years. They worked together on Karan Johar’s film, ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.’ Elated about working with her again, Dharmendra took to his social media handle to share an old picture and write: ‘Guddi, will always be my loving doll. She is a world class artist, and she always talks high about me . ( From Guddi to Rocky aur Rani ki prem kahani) .” This gesture by the actor melted hearts in no time.
