There is a rain threat hanging over the high-voltage T20 World Cup clash between the India national cricket team and the Pakistan national cricket team in Colombo. The match is scheduled to begin at 7:00 PM at the R. Premadasa Stadium. According to the weather department, the probability of rain stands at 51% at 6 PM, 57% at 7 PM, and peaks at 62% around 8 PM. The chances reduce to 45% at 9 PM and further drop to nearly 32–33% later in the night. However, ground reports from Colombo suggest improving conditions. The skies are partly cloudy with sunshine breaking through, and there has been no rainfall since morning. The pitch and outfield appear dry, and cool winds are blowing. If weather conditions remain stable, nearly 35,000 spectators are expected inside the stadium, with millions watching worldwide. As of now, there is strong optimism that the much-awaited encounter will proceed as scheduled.
