‘Vadh 2’ BO day 7: Sanjay Mishra film at Rs 3.45 Cr

'Vadh 2' box office collections day 7: Sanjay Mishra film has first week closure at Rs 3.45 Cr

Vadh 2 concluded its opening week with ₹3.45 crore, showing modest weekday growth. Despite a slight dip on Thursday, the film garnered praise for its cast’s compelling performances, particularly Sanjay Mishra and Neena Gupta. Critics lauded its emotional depth and tight construction, though visual execution lagged behind writing. The thriller faces a crucial second weekend to maintain its theatrical run.

‘Vadh 2’ wrapped up its first week at the box office with an estimated India-net total of Rs 3.45 crore. The film directed by Jaspal Singh Sandhu showed limited momentum across weekdays.According to box office estimates based on data from the Sacnilk website the film earned around Rs 20 lakhs on Day 7 (Thursday). On Tuesday it collected Rs 35 lakhs and this dropped to Rs 25 lakhs on Wednesday. Thursday saw another decline, landing at Rs 20 lakhs.

Occupancy remains muted across key slots

On its seventh day the film registered an overall 5.91% Hindi occupancy nationwide. Morning shows averaged 4.11%. Afternoon shows rose slightly to 7.34%. Evening shows recorded 5.41%. Night shows settled at 6.79%.

Cast earns praise for compelling performances

Sanjay Mishra leads the film’s cast, supported by Neena Gupta, Kumud Mishra, and Yogita Bihani.Critics have pointed out that the film’s intensity and emotional depth stem from the way the actors interpret their characters. ETimes awarded it 4 out of 5 stars. The review stated, “‘Vadh 2’ emerges as a clear improvement over its predecessor and remains engaging. Director Jaspal Singh Sandhu approaches the material with control, though the precision of the writing consistently outweighs the visual execution. The film understands the value of restraint and knows exactly when to conclude. Its depiction of prison life stays stark and unsettling before the narrative briefly moves to a different location in the final stretch. This change in setting mirrors the tonal shift and adds an emotional contrast. ‘Vadh 2’ ultimately comes across as a tightly constructed, performance-driven thriller.”With its first week closing at Rs 3.45 crore the film faces an uphill road in Week 2. The second-weekend performance will determine how long it can sustain theatrical presence.DISCLAIMER: The box office numbers and data in this article are compiled from diverse public and industry sources.
