Abhishek Bachchan sells luxury duplex apartment in Mumbai’s Mahalaxmi for Rs 14.5 crore - Report

Abhishek Bachchan has sold a luxury duplex apartment in Mumbai’s Mahalaxmi for Rs 14.5 crore, according to property registration documents accessed by Zapkey.The apartment has a total carpet area of 2,249 sq ft and was transacted at a rate of Rs 64,473 per sq ft. As per the registration records, the buyers are Rishi Mandawat, a partner at Bain Capital Private Equity, and Smita Mehta.

Duplex located on 40th and 41st floors

The property is situated in Godrej Planet, a premium residential project in the Mahalaxmi neighbourhood of Mumbai. The duplex comprises units on the 40th and 41st floors in Tower 4 (Strata).The transaction also includes three car parking slots. The deal was officially registered on February 12, 2026.Godrej Planet is a luxury residential development featuring over 300 apartments across five towers, offering 2, 3, and 5 BHK residences in one of South Mumbai’s upscale localities.Abhishek Bachchan could not be reached for comment regarding the transaction.
