The Seven Dogs: Salman woos fans with English accent

'The Seven Dogs' trailer: Salman Khan woos with English accent; fans hail Hollywood-style swagger

The trailer for the upcoming action drama ‘The Seven Dogs’, helmed by ‘Ms Marvel’ director duo Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, has been released online and fans can’t quite get over the cameos of Bollywood superstars Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt. The film, previously believed to be the actors’ Hollywood debuts, is now said to be an international film which will also feature Monica Bellucci in a prominent part. The project is backed by producer Turki Alalshikh, who launched the action-packed trailer online, drawing in good fan reactions.

Salman Khan’s cameo woos fans

Salman Khan makes a striking appearance in a crisp white suit, and in a dingy setup, while appearing to get a shave. In the cameo, the lead stars seem to give his character a brief introduction saying, “You know what he does? He documents his whole life.” The camera then sets on Khan, who flashes a sly smile eyeing a character suspiciously as he delivers a line in English saying, “Why do you look like a criminal to me?”

Fans react

The trailer showcases Arab cinema powerhouses Karim Abdel Aziz and Ahmed Ezz, in high octane action sequences in a big-budget setting, but Salman’s “Hollywood-style action star” cameo has seemingly stolen all the attention. Fans flooded YouTube’s comment section with praise following the trailer drop. “Salman Khan is looking nothing less than a Hollywood action star sharp screen presence, international styling, and top-notch action sequences,” one user wrote, while another declared, “This combo doesn’t release… it ATTACKS cinema… Mass destruction guaranteed.”

Salman Khan Wows Fans With Ripped Physique After Workout

Still another said, “Seeing Salman Khan in such slick, international-level action and Sanjay Dutt as a ruthless antagonist makes this combo insanely exciting.” The film will mark the reunion of Karim Abdel and Ahmed after the success of ‘Kira & El Gin’, one of Egypt’s highest-grossing films. Set against a global crime backdrop, the film reportedly follows Interpol officer Khalid Al-Azzazi (played by Ezz) who captures Ghali Abu Dawood (Aziz), a senior member of the notorious ‘7 Dogs’ syndicate.
