Selena enjoys Bad Bunny’s halftime show with goddaughter

Selena Gomez shares photo of her goddaughter enjoying Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show: 'Proud as can be’

Selena Gomez had everyone smiling this week when she shared a sweet snapshot of her goddaughter glued to the TV, watching Bad Bunny light up the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show. The photo popped up on Selena’s Instagram Stories, just a little window into her world, showing her as a proud godparent!

The ‘sweet’ godmother moment

Selena Gomez, now 33, took to Instagram Stories to post a photo of her goddaughter, Aubriella Marie Cosme, completely lost in Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime set, clutching a tiny Puerto Rican flag. Selena’s caption said it all: “My god daughter proud as can be. What a beautiful halftime show!”For the unversed, Aubriella is actually the daughter of Selena’s cousin, Priscilla Cosme. Selena’s been her godmother since 2020, and the two pop up together online pretty often. In 2024, Selena posted a video of Aubriella cheering her on at the Emmys, trying to keep her spirits up even though she didn’t win that night.

Selena Gomez, enjoying newly married life

Seeing her goddaughter proud isn’t the only thing that’s added joy to Selena’s life lately. After years of flirting around friendship and music, Selena finally got married to Benny Blanco, the ace music producer, on September 27, 2025, in Santa Barbara, California. In the wedding photos, Selena was seen in a gorgeous gown, Benny looked like he couldn’t believe his luck, and everyone around them just beamed with joy. When you look back, Selena and Benny’s romance didn’t exactly come out of nowhere. They’d worked together for years, even back in 2019 on ‘I Can’t Get Enough’. Things officially turned romantic in December 2023, and by the end of 2024, they were engaged. Selena’s “Forever begins now…” post on Instagram pretty much broke the internet. Benny couldn’t help himself either, as he posted pics from the wedding and called Selena a “real life Disney princess,” which summed up the whole fairytale vibe. After the “I dos,” last year, the newlyweds hit the road for a mini-moon, driving up the California coast and dipping into Texas, just soaking up that newlywed feeling before regular life pulled them back in.

Selena Gomez on motherhood and kids

Selena’s never been shy about wanting a family. In fact, if anything, she has always been open about how much she loves kids and how much she wants to become a mother one day.On the Jay Shetty Podcast, she got honest about loving children and how she’s looking forward to being a mom, even if she’s not totally sure how that’s going to play out. Benny’s all in for the journey, too. He shared how he had seen how Selena just lit up around kids, how she’d spend hours with them.Selena also opened up about her approach to motherhood, in September 2024, telling Vanity Fair that she used to imagine she’d have kids by 35, partner or no partner.“Before I met my boyfriend, I was single for five years, with the exception of going on a few dates,” she said. “And I was like, ‘Okay, if this is the vibe, then what is the most important thing to me? Family.’”Then she got real about something she hadn’t shared before: she can’t carry her own children because of medical issues that would put her and a baby at risk. She said, “I haven’t ever said this, but I unfortunately can’t carry my own children. I have a lot of medical issues that would put my life and the baby’s in jeopardy. That was something I had to grieve for a while.”The songstress revealed that she knew her path to parenthood would “not necessarily [be] the way I envisioned it. I thought it would happen the way it happens for everyone. [But] I’m in a much better place with that. I find it a blessing that there are wonderful people willing to do surrogacy or adoption, which are both huge possibilities for me. It made me really thankful for the other outlets for people who are dying to be moms.”No matter how it happens, Selena has one thing clear in her mind: “I’m one of those people. I’m excited for what that journey will look like, but it’ll look a little different. At the end of the day, I don’t care. It’ll be mine. It’ll be my baby.” Go to Source
