Twitch streamer Bisscute was rushed to the emergency room for a serious hand injury she sustained during a live Twitch stream. This happened as she was showing her viewers items, she had planned to use as decorations for the background of her streaming. One of the items she was showing was a katana that was sheathed in a red sheath. While streaming, the katana just slipped out of its sheath and began moving towards the floor. In a short clip that has since circulated online, Bisscute can be seen instinctively trying to grab the falling katana by the blade. She immediately cried out in pain and rushed off camera while holding her hand. The stream ended moments later, leaving viewers worried and unsure about how serious the injury was. The original stream was later deleted, but the brief clip quickly spread across social media.

Bisscute taken to ER after on-stream katana injury

Following the incident, Bisscute provided an update to her fans through her Discord server. She confirmed that she had gone to the emergency room and had cut two tendons in her hand. According to her message, the injury affected her middle and ring fingers, and doctors determined that surgery would be required to repair the damage. She explained that the operation would likely take place the following week. However, despite the extensive nature of her injury, Bisscute managed to reassure her community that she was still okay despite what had transpired earlier. Furthermore, she revealed that she was waiting to get a cast and undergo blood work while still in a stable condition.Hours later, Bisscute took to Instagram with an update, posting a photo of her heavily wrapped arm in a cast. The caption of this post indicated that she had already gone back to work, showing determination to keep going notwithstanding the accident. Many messages showed support from fellow streamers and fans, with most wishing her a smooth recovery and successful surgery. This incident also served as a reminder for people to talk about safety issues in live streaming, particularly for creators who handle sharp objects live on camera. Although accidents may occur unexpectedly, the incident is a reminder of how things can go wrong in real-time.Currently, Bisscute has not mentioned how her injury will impact her streaming schedule in the long term. Fans are continuing to offer their best wishes to her as she gets ready to have her surgery and recover, hoping to have her stream again when she is completely healed.
