‘I was on my period while shooting for Dhurandhar song ‘Shararat’, says Ayesha

'I was on my period while shooting for 'Dhurandhar' song 'Shararat', reveals Ayesha Khan, netizens say 'hats off to her'

‘Dhurandhar’ was a huge hit at the box office. The Aditya Dhar directorial got a lot of love from fans and it also made more than Rs 800 crore at the domestic box office and more than Rs 1300 crore at the worldwide box office. The scenes and the songs from ‘Dhurandhar’ went viral on the internet, especially Akshaye Khanna’s entry song ‘FA9LA’ and ‘Shararat’. Ayesha Khan and Krystle D’souza which featured in this song choreographed by Vijay Ganguly, also got immense love for their dance. Ayesha had shared a BTS video from the shoot of the song in which one saw her crying and Aditya was seen giving her a hug. In a recent interview, Ayesha has revealed the reason she cried. She expressed that she was overwhelmed and had tears of happiness.Ayesha said during a chat with Pinkvilla, “It was two days of shoot. It was so hectic, I was on my period during the shoot and you know you’re not looking your best because you’re bloated and you’re not at your best. Kaash I was at my best. It was so much of work for two days. Someone was asking how was it on set because we did not know what was happening and who was there on set. Then Gaurav sir also told me that he was also on the set and I was like, ‘aap bhi the’? Because Krystle and me had not time to look anywhere, the wedding sequence was also to be shot during those two days. There was so much we had to do and there was no time. We were so tired, our bones were aching after dancing so much. I was feeling so overwhelmed and it was also because I was on my period and may be my emotions were hitting me too much. So, I just couldn’t control and I cried. It was Khushi ke aansu.”As Ayesha made this revelation and this video was shared by the news portal on their social media, netizens lauded Ayesha. A user said, “A user said, “Periods no way! U owned the show! Period! @ayeshaakhan_official 🔥” Another person wrote, “Periods me in this energy dance! Hats off behen🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌” A person commented, “You killllleeeeeddddd it @ayeshaakhan_official inspite of Bloating and painful periods!!!❤️” Another one said, “She was on periods still did it😮😮😮..God.” There were speculations about a rivalry between Krystle and Ayesha and they were also pitted against each other by the internet. Talking about Krystle, Ayesha said, “Krystle and me had such a good time. She is a senior to me and has done so much more work than me. When I got to know, we were to do a song together, I thought someone senior might have tantrums but she is such a sweetheart, she was so warm to work with, so open to doing a song with someone else. She could have said no to do a song with two girls. It just never felt like a problem. We were each other’s strength all through the shoot. She is a beautiful human being. She has such pretty eyes and why would she wear lenses. I asked her to move her lenses and see her eyes. I was like ‘itni under aankhein’. Kya zarurat hai lenses pehenne ki.”
