NEW DELHI: A terrorist was killed on Wednesday evening during an ongoing anti-terror operation in the Kishtwar region of Jammu and Kashmir, the officials said.The encounter took place under Operation ‘Trashi-I’, as security forces continued their search for terrorists hiding in the area. In a post on X, the Army’s White Knight Corps said contact was re-established with terrorists on the run at around 5.45 pm in the Dichhar area of Kishtwar.”In the continuing search and elimination of terrorists in the Kishtwar region, where the hunt has already led to several contacts in the dense forests and challenging terrain, contact was re-established with the terrorists on the run in the ongoing joint Operation Trashi-I by the troops of CIF Delta at around 5.45 pm today in the general area of Dichhar, Kishtwar,” the post said.”One terrorist has been successfully neutralised. Operation is in progress,” it added.Security forces said the operation is continuing in the area. More details awaited.This is a developing copy
