Bad Bunny made history at the 2026 Grammy Awards as he took home Album of the year, for his critically acclaimed ‘Debí Tirar Más Fotos’. This win marked the first time that a Spanish-language album has taken home the top prize.He was the first and only Spanish-language artist to ever receive an Album of the Year Grammy nod. In under a decade, Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio has managed to break barriers for Latin and Spanish-language music.

Bad Bunny’s photos from old job goes viral

Following his big win, social media was abuzz over an old photo of the singer’s humble start as a cashier and bagger at a supermarket. In the picture, a clean-shaven Bad Bunny is seen standing behind the counter. Sharing the posts, fans said, “10 years ago, Bad Bunny was bagging groceries. Keep going and don’t ever give up. Inspiring.”

Bad Bunny on working odd jobs

The rapper, in a short film, reflected on his early years, working odd jobs. As reported by PEOPLE CHICA, he said, “All I wanted was for my shift to end so I could go home. It was really motivating….because you never really want to be doing that. All you want is to reach your dreams and earn money doing what you like.”

Bad Bunny’s Grammy-winning speech

In his Grammy-winning speech, the star took to the microphone to say, “Puerto Rico, believe me when I tell you that we are much bigger than 100 by 35. And there is nothing we can’t achieve. Thank God, thank you to the Academy, thank you to all the people who have believed in me throughout my career. To all the people who worked on this album, thank you mami for giving birth to me in Puerto Rico, I love you.”He went on to add, “I want to dedicate this award to all the people who had to leave their homeland to follow their dreams.”
