'RanaBaali' director Rahul Sankrityan addresses AI rumours for teaser: 'Every frame was created using traditional methods'

The film’s powerful teaser sparked AI usage claims, which director Rahul Sankrityan has vehemently denied, confirming traditional filmmaking methods. Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna are coming together again for their new film ‘RanaBaali’. The makers revealed the film title on Republic Day. Along with the title they released a strong and powerful teaser. The visuals impressed many people. But soon after the teaser came out, some netizens called it out saying that the visuals were made using AI technology. One Telugu cinema website even claimed that the teaser was largely created using AI. Now, director Rahul Sankrityan has addressed the claims.

Director clears the AI confusion

Director Rahul Sankrityan did not stay silent. He replied directly to the post and clearly denied the use of AI. He said that no artificial intelligence was used in the teaser.“Thank you idlebrainjeevi garu. But AI was not used—every frame was created using traditional methods, with months of hard work invested,” he said.

About ‘RanaBaali’ and the team

‘RanaBaali’ is a big pan-Indian film set in 19th-century India with a plot based on real historical events. Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna play the lead roles. This film marks their third movie together. The movie also marks Vijay Deverakonda’s third collaboration with the makers of ‘Dear Comrade’ and ‘Khushi’. Music for the film is given by Ajay-Atul. The makers have announced that RanaBaali will release worldwide on September 11, 2026.
