'Border 2' box office collection day 5 (LIVE): The Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan starrer may see drop on Tuesday after a massive Republic day, inches towards Rs 180 crore

‘Border 2’ which released in cinemas on January 23, Friday, has done exceptionally well at the box office over its first weekend. The film starring Sunny Deol, Ahan Shetty, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh saw growth on Saturday and more so on Sunday and Republic Day which hugely worked in its favour. A film releasing around a National holiday is always expected to ring in those big numbers and ‘Border 2’ proved its mettle with a whopping Rs 59 crore Monday, Republic day.Border 2 Movie Review According to Sacnilk, metropolitan cities continue to show solid momentum, it is the mass belts that are truly stealing the spotlight. Tier-2 and Tier-3 centres are delivering extraordinary results, with ‘Housefull’ signs returning across multiple circuits in a big way. In just three days, the film has clocked more than 52.65 lakh footfalls, a surge that is clearly visible in the sharp rise in hourly ticket sales on platforms such as BookMyShow.

Border 2 Makes Ahan’s Childhood Army Dream Real

It had made Rs 30 crore on day 1 as the advance bookings of the movie were also good. Meanwhile on its day 2, it made Rs 36.5 crore. On Sunday, it saw a growth of 49 percent and made Rs 54.5 crore. After seeing a further jump on Monday, the film crossed Rs 170 crore in a span of four days. The collection was bound to drop after an extended weekend, and on Tuesday, it has started on a slow note. Till afternoon, the film has made Rs 2.23 crore. The collection now stands at Rs 179.23 crore.
