In an eagerly awaited comeback, Ranvir Shorey reprises his role as Balwant ‘Bunty’ Khosla in ‘Khosla Ka Ghosla 2’, alongside the stellar Anupam Kher and Boman Irani. Ranvir Shorey is currently working on his next, ‘Khosla Ka Ghosla 2’. The actor expressed that he gave the film a green signal only after he got to know that Anupam Kher and Boman Irani are on board. Shorey called the two veteran actors “pillars” of the film series. In an interview with Mid Day, he said, “I didn’t want to be the reason the Khosla family couldn’t get back together.”

In the same interview, Ranvir Shorey further expressed that people don’t understand what goes on behind the scenes on the sets of the film. He said, “What actors, directors, and writers struggle with, you cannot imagine. The kind of egos you have to deal with just to be able to do the kind of work you want to do.”

Directed by Dibakar Banerjee and written by Jaideep Sahni, the comedy film stars Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Parvin Dabas, Vinay Pathak, Ranvir Shorey, and Tara Sharma in the lead roles. The movie was released in theaters in September 2026. Over the years, the film achieved a cult status among the audience.

In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Parvin Dabass, who played the role of Cherry Khosla in the first installment and is also returning for the second, shared that the script for the upcoming film is fresh. He added, “The characterization remains the same, but the journey is new.
