‘Spartacus: House of Ashur’ is a spin-off series set in an alternate universe, where the villainous slave, Ashur, didn’t die but instead was offered a deal in the afterlife by Lucretia to return to life, kill Spartacus, and end the rebellion. The deal leads him to become a powerful dominus of a gladiator school, ruling with a new female gladiator and navigating Roman politics, all while trying to gain acceptance and power in a world that still looks down on him.The series brings back the Spartacus universe’s signature blend of high-impact action, eroticism, and intense political drama. Key figures include Ashur, the formidable gladiatrix Achillia, and other characters navigating the dangerous life in Rome. It explores themes of power, survival, and vengeance, focusing on Ashur’s ambition to gain status, often at the expense of his gladiators and through political manipulation.The 10-episode series has Nick E. Tarabay as the protagonist, Ashur.
