Because Trump wants Nobel...: John Bolton posts latest jibe as FBI raids his house

John Bolton’s latest jibe at Trump came a 7.32 am when agents were already raiding his house but he was not there and was not aware of it.

Donald Trump’s former NSA John Bolton was taunted by a Trump ally who underwent a similar raid earlier as feds swooped in on Bolton’s house in the early hours Friday following FBI director Kash Patel’s directive. “Good morning, John Bolton,” wrote Roger Stone, Trump’s longest serving political advisor, on X Friday. “How does it feel to have your home rated at 6 o’clock in the morning?”A longtime political consultant, Stone has worked for the campaigns of Republican presidents since Richard Nixon’s, and helped kick off Trump’s initial presidential run in 2015. Stone faced a sudden early morning FBI raid in 2019 in connection with the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 elections. Stone was arrested and later indicted on charges of perjury, witness tampering and obstruction. Stone was set to serve 40 months in prison, though his sentence was commuted by Trump, who later pardoned him.

Bolton posts Trump criticism as his house was raided

While the feds were swarming Bolton’s house, he was posting criticism of Donald Trump in which he said nothing changed in the Russia-Ukraine scenario after the Trump-Putin meeting but such meetings would take place and Trump wants a Nobel Peace Prize. “Russia has not changed its goal: drag Ukraine into a new Russian Empire,” Bolton posted on X at 7:32 a.m., while agents were at his house. “Moscow has demanded that Ukraine cede territory it already holds and the remainder of Donetsk, which it has been unable to conquer. Zelensky will never do so.””Meanwhile, meetings will continue because Trump wants a Nobel Peace Prize,” he added, “but I don’t see these talks making any progress.” CNN reported that Bolton was not there when his house was raided and was not aware of the FBO activity.

What is the allegation against John Bolton?

The FBI raid is part of a national security investigation into Bolton’s handling of classified material—primarily tied to whether he illegally possessed or disclosed classified documents. The probe stems from allegations linked to his 2020 memoir, The Room Where It Happened, where Bolton was previously scrutinized for including sensitive information. That earlier legal action had been dropped in 2021, but the current investigation marks a revival and intensification of those concerns. In 2020, Bolton’s tell-all memoir drew sharp criticism from the Trump administration, which argued it contained classified content and violated non-disclosure agreements. This led to a lawsuit and a criminal inquiry by the Justice Department—though it was dropped in 2021 by the Biden administration.
