A major incident occurred in Prayagraj as an Army trainer aircraft crashed into a pond near KP College. The plane reportedly lost balance mid-air, causing panic among locals, who immediately alerted the police and administration. Rescue teams and the fire brigade reached the site promptly. According to reports, the aircraft had taken off from Vidya Vahini School and was on a routine sortie when the pilot noticed a technical malfunction. Using quick thinking, the pilot attempted a controlled landing in an open area, but the aircraft ultimately crashed into the pond. All three personnel on board safely ejected using parachutes, landing near the school without injury. Videos and images show the white plane partially submerged in water hyacinths, with rescue teams working to retrieve it. Eyewitnesses reported hearing a loud “rocket-like” beep from the plane as it lost control. Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash while continuing rescue operations. Officials confirmed that the pilot’s prompt actions prevented a major disaster in a densely populated area. The operation is ongoing, with both police and RAF teams on-site to ensure safety and recover the aircraft.
