Breaking News: Delhi on High Alert Ahead of Republic Day, Posters of Wanted Terrorists Put Up

Ahead of the 77th Republic Day, Delhi Police and security agencies have stepped up vigilance across the national capital following intelligence inputs. A high alert has been issued, and security has been intensified at sensitive and crowded locations including major railway stations, bus terminals, metro stations, and popular marketplaces. To seek public assistance, Delhi Police has displayed posters of most-wanted terrorists linked to banned extremist organizations such as Babbar Khalsa International, Jaish-e-Mohammed, Al-Qaeda, and Khalistan Zindabad Force. These posters have been pasted at high-footfall areas like New Delhi Railway Station, Sarojini Nagar, Lajpat Nagar, Karol Bagh, Paharganj, Sadar Bazaar, and Chandni Chowk. The posters include details of suspected terrorists such as Wadhwa Singh Babbar, Purushottam Singh Pama, Gurmeet Singh Bagga, and Bhupinder Singh Bhinda, who are believed to be associated with Babbar Khalsa International. Police officials say the objective is to ensure maximum public visibility, as lakhs of commuters and shoppers pass through these locations daily. Delhi Police has appealed to citizens to stay alert and immediately report any suspicious activity or sightings of the listed individuals. People have been urged to inform nearby police personnel or dial the emergency helpline number 112. With January 26 approaching, security remains tight across Delhi to prevent any untoward incident.
